Customer Service Representative

Elenco Electronics, LLC, a leading STEM/educational toy company, is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic customer service focused team player to build on their career We are located in Wheeling, Illinois, and known all over the world for our award-winning Snap Circuits® line of circuit-building toys.
Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative will work under the direction of our Office Manager. Primary functions include delivering exceptional customer service, entering and confirming orders, providing ongoing sales support for our sales team and being a team player. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing company is a must. This position is in-person at our Wheeling office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the intake of orders via email and/or phone, order confirmations and all product tracking.
- Enter new customers and customer orders into our NetSuite ERP system, accurately maintaining the database.
- Communicate with customers on topics that include pricing, stock/order status and expected delivery dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering incoming calls, assisting customers with inquiries or concerns, and greeting office visitors at the door.
- Communicate effectively with customers and sales team both verbally and in writing.
- Develop knowledge of all products sold by the company.
- Support the Sales Team by receiving sales calls and other projects as assigned.
- Collect incoming mail and packages and distribute to the appropriate department.
- Assist with small parcel packing and mailing.
- Process RMAs, credit memos and return labels.
- Invoice sales orders and input tracking information into the system.
- Process credit card payments.
- Assist with preparation of shipping documents and shipments routing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Customer service experience, serving internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Office, etc)
- Order entry experience.
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written form.
- Able to multitask and work on several issues while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow with the Company.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced organization.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Passionate about customer empathy - ability to listen to and understand customer needs and creatively address them with solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Effective communication and problem solving-skills.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including safety standards, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information as required.
- The position is required to be on-sight Monday through Friday.
