Position Overview:
As a Buyer/Planner, you will be a team-oriented individual who can manage inventory levels and accuracy to assure high fill rates while balancing required weeks of stock to support the business. The Buyer/Planner is a key part of the “I and love and you” team, serving as a critical role in supporting the growth of our brand through detailed execution and strong organization.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a small team and in a fast-paced environment with the ability to ensure deadlines are met. Being organized, positive, and self-motivated is a must Candidates should be capable of working within a team while also recognizing and solving problems independently. This role requires a motivated self-starter, who excels at time management, multi-tasking, communications and working with a variety of nuances to drive the supply chain while optimizing performance metrics and minimizing unnecessary cost. The role will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and will work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Transportation and Accounting.
What You’ll Accomplish and How You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Timely placement of monthly purchase orders and their maintenance for items, quantities, pricing, and due dates.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, co-mans, and customers.
- Interact with Transportation Manager to ensure on time pick-up and delivery of all inbound freight.
- Assist in timely receipt of all inbounds in the NetSuite ERP system as communicated by the 3PL and the immediate resolution of any discrepancies with the warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels at our 3PL for our Direct-to-Consumer website. Create transfers, conversions and manage adjustments as needed to keep inventories aligned.
- Manage 1-2 co-mans end to end regarding monthly/yearly forecasting, PO placement, management of components (bags/ boxes) and manage inventory levels at our 3PL.
- Attend and participate in monthly S&OP regarding co-man’s being managed.
- Manage inbound claims with timely root cause and corrective action.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
- Assist with special projects as needed.

- Utilize your knowledge of prioritizing role specific goals and support the structure within operations for optimized performance.
- Be a key contributor to the management and growth objectives of the “I and love and you” business.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related discipline field (maybe supplemented with experience).
- 3-5 years’ experience in Planning, Procurement and/or Operations or similar functions.
- Must have demonstrated strong communication skills and dealing with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with ERP systems like NetSuite, Quick, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Strong computer skills and must be proficient in Excel and capable of tracking and reporting data through charts and graphs.
- A person should be able to work well in a highly dynamic group setting and taking direction from multiple people.

Working Conditions:
- The position is remote but will require occasional travel.
