SUMMARY: Seeking Journeyman Electrician / Installation Manager (5+ Yrs of Service Experience) for commercial lighting troubleshooting, retrofit and upgrade projects. 10-20% travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Journeyman Electrician / Installation Manager (w/ working knowledge of lighting related electrical installations and trouble shooting)
COMPENSATION: $75,000 yr
SUPPLEMENTAL PAY: Bonus pay
JOB Type: Full time
BENEFITS: Compensation level DOE, Holiday pay, Vacation Pay, Paid time off, 401(k), Health insurance, Dental insurance and Vision insurance (after 90 Days)
WORK LOCATION: Based in Tempe, AZ; with travel to multiple locations in USA
TRAVEL: 10% - 20% of the time
WORK SCHEDULE: May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
JOB SKILLS:
- Travels to customer premises to install, maintain, and provide basic troubleshooting of electrical and specialty systems.
- Need good understanding of current Electrical Code and Electrical Theory
- Ability to lead electrical team through complex projects
- Ability to troubleshoot project issue
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting other electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Ability to bend pipe, pull wire and terminate
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
- Apprenticeship from any State is a plus
- Correctly move or lift heavy objects.
- Comfortable with EMT, Rigid, PVC pipe and techniques for installation
- Proficient with lighting, lighting retrofit projects
- Comfortable with power up to 480V
- Use oral or written communication techniques.
- Adhere to company and customer safety procedures.
- Use hand or power tools.
- Operate scissor and boom type lifts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5+ years experience Commercial and Industrial
- Provide legal documentation for I-9 Form and E-verify
- Valid and clean Arizona Driver's License and dependable transportation
- Ability to pass background check
- Own Personal Hand Tools
- Available for day and night work.
- SAFETY CONSCIOUS
EDUCATION: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE: Electrician: 5 years (Required)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Driver's License (Required)
