We administrate payroll functions through the use of payroll software, i.e. Paylocity. The Payroll Specialist must be knowledgeable about payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws. Furthermore, it is important that they have experience using other technology tools. They must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with employees and managers about payroll processes and answer questions regarding paychecks and the payroll process. Knowledge of Certified Payroll and DIR reporting are essential for this role. The Payroll Specialist is also responsible for general Accounts Payable functions using the company's accounting software.
