We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Surgical Care Coordinator with expertise in orthopedic and extremity procedures, ranging from conservative treatments to the most invasive surgeries. The Surgical Care Coordinator will assist clients and legal teams in all aspects of surgical care, ensuring the highest quality patient care and maximizing case value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients undergoing surgical procedures and legal teams.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments with surgeons, medical specialists, and rehabilitation services.
    • Provide legal teams with detailed pre- and post-operative client instruction and information.
  2. Medical Knowledge:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all orthopedic and extremity procedures, including conservative treatments (e.g., physical therapy, injections) and invasive surgeries (e.g., joint replacements, fracture repairs).
    • Educate legal teams on client’s medical conditions, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  3. Case Management:
    • Gather and organize medical records, surgical reports, and other relevant documentation.
    • Track the progress of clients' medical treatments and ensure timely updates are provided to the legal team.
    • Coordinate follow-up care and rehabilitation services as needed.
  4. Legal Support:
    • Assist the team with the preparation of medical summaries, timelines, and expert reports.
    • Communicate with medical providers to obtain necessary documentation and clarify medical issues related to cases.
    • Ensure all medical information is accurately documented and integrated into case files.
  5. Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, appointments, and medical updates.
    • Handle billing and insurance matters related to surgical care.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Health Administration, Paralegal Studies) or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of orthopedic and extremity procedures.
  • Previous experience in a medical, legal, or case management role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical records.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and processes related to personal injury cases is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
