We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our non-profit client’s team. This role involves maintaining financial records, managing general ledgers, analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping in accordance with GAAP principles, including analytical tasks. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $46 to $49 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Handle month-end closing and general ledger entries.
Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations, expenses, and balances.
Oversee the accounts payable process and provide final review.
Process payroll.
Develop and implement accounting procedures by researching and interpreting data.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
Proficient in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Professional skill and knowledge in accounting, staying current with developments and trends.
Experience:
Accounting degree, or equivalent experience.
Experience with Yardi highly desired
Experience in finance, accounting, and payroll.
