Office Assistant – Part time
Education: High School Diploma or higher
Experience: 2 years experience as an Office Assistant
NOTE: Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent people skills; positive attitude; enjoy working with seniors
· Working knowledge of office methods, practices and protocols
· Strong mathematical skills necessary to perform basic financial calculations
· General computer literacy – Word, Excel, Internet
· Excellent written and verbal command of the English language
· Ability to operate a calculator, computer, photocopier, fax and other office machines
· Ability to quickly learn policy and procedures
· Ability to work independently
· Must be able to organize, prioritize, and multi-task
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Willingness and ability to work as a part of a team
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds and to climb stairs
Responsibilities:
· General office duties: filing, faxing, typing, mailing
· Maintain confidential files and records
· Annual HUD recertification of residents – preparing packages
· Assisting residents with PA Rent Rebate forms
· Help coordinate and distribute food box program from SHARE/Montgomery County
· Update resident information forms and incident reports
· Rent collection and posting; bank deposits; petty cash
· Respond to health and smoke apartment alerts
· Daily interaction with residents
· Involvement in planning and participating in resident social events
· Maintain proper attendance and punctuality standards
· Assume leadership and take initiative in absence of Administrator and Admin. Assist.
· Perform other duties as requested
