Summary:

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for RedBuilt LLC, your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions. This is soup to nuts business intelligence work, in a fast paced, independent, and self-directed environment. If you have an interest in working on an array of business intelligence components (source data discovery, systems integration, ETL, SQL admin/dev, system resiliency, application integration, DevOps, tabular models, process creation and documentation, user requirements, support and troubleshooting, Power Platform, etc.), with the opportunity to influence a growing company's digital strategy, this position could be a great fit for you. Additionally, you'll work as part of a small IT team, in a flat, lean, no-nonsense organization on its way up. The CIO will be your skip level. That's right, say goodbye to bureaucratic overhead. Responsibilities:

  • Database Design and Optimization:
    1. Collaborate with other engineers to design efficient database schemas.
    2. Optimize data structures for performance and scalability.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes:
    1. Develop Azure Data Factory pipelines to extract data from various sources.
    2. Transform and clean data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    3. Load processed data into the data warehouse.
  • SQL Development:
    1. Write SQL queries, views and stored procs to retrieve, update, and manipulate data.
    2. Optimize query performance through indexing, query tuning, and query plan analysis.
  • Data Modeling and Reporting Views:
    1. Create logical and physical data models.
    2. Develop tables and views for business users.
  • Collaboration with Analysts:
    1. Work closely with business analysts to understand business requirements.
    2. Translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 4 years of applicable IT related experience.
  • Strong SQL Skills: Ability to write efficient and complex SQL queries.
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS): Familiarity with relational databases.
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Talend, or Informatica.
  • Data Warehousing Concepts: Understanding of data warehousing principles.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Analyze data-related challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective Communication: Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven and thrives working autonomously.
  • Skilled in building strong relationships and effectively communicating information through verbal and written correspondence.

Additional Skills (desired):

  • Proficiency in C# and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Azure DevOps (Including Pipelines)
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud-based data services.
  • Agile Development Practices: Comfortable working in an agile environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Travels up to 10% of the time, with increased travel during first two months of employment.

Pay: $80-85K Annually DOE
