Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our residential and light commercial HVAC service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing top-notch customer service. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, and fostering a positive team culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of HVAC technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow management to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure all service work meets company and industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide ongoing education and training for service technicians to keep them updated on the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking parts and equipment, to ensure technicians have the necessary tools to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using HVAC service management software and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid MD HVAC technician certification and relevant licenses are preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
