Job Title: Ship/Rec/Stores Clerk I
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 11 months
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53223
Shift: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm (1st shift), Friday 7am-11am

Technical Skills
Must Have:

  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities may include:

  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
  • (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Reports materials shipped and bills of lading.
  • Posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Production Support Career Stream:

  • Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers, including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products.
  • May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines.
  • May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Recommended basic job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures.
  • 0 years of experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Reliable personal transportation to/from our facility in Milwaukee, WI (near Brown Deer).
  • History of excellent attendance, including start times and no missed days.
  • Prior shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record working in a team environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform Shipping and Receiving functions in our ERP system.
  • General data entry into the computer system for entering quantities, receipts, and shipments.
  • Understand GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Good handwriting and ability to follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Specific job assignments will change periodically, depending on workflow and daily requirements.
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; log receipt of items on the system, process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; report materials shipped and bills of lading; post weight and shipping charges, and route merchandise to destinations.
  • Depending on workload in shipping/receiving, may also include training in various production areas.
