Palmer Group is assisting its client in the insurance industry who is seeking a Client Service Consultant - Commercial Insurance to add to their growing team. In this role, you will manage the relationship with external clients and the internal departments and business partners of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of property and casualty insurance products and services and excellent customer service and communication skills. Apply today if this job interests you 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing business, expand relationships with current clients, and assist in bringing new clients into the organization
  • Responsible for managing a book of house accounts and assist in the growth of that book of business
  • Meet with the team for pre-renewal meetings on qualifying accounts and development of client opportunities
  • Partner with Commercial Property and Casualty Producers to perform needs analysis of prospective and existing clients to identify new client solutions and agency revenue opportunities 
  • Train and develop other commercial Account Managers
  • Handle customer requests for policy changes, insurance certificates, billing inquiries, and claim submissions
  • Provide coverage interpretation and analysis for current and prospective clients
  • Assist in cross-selling and account rounding opportunities
  • Prepare Summaries of Insurance on renewal accounts and market renewal accounts as needed

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing client relationships
  • Minimum of 10 years of Property and Casualty experience
  • Ability to read and understand insurance contracts
  • Must possess an active Iowa Property and Casualty Insurance license
  • Demonstrated track record of generating new revenue in the client management process 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to relate and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner 
  • Experience in building and managing client relationships
