HR Specialist

CFS is working with a local employer in Vancouver, seeking an HR Specialist to join their team. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and training. You'll ensure adherence to federal and multi-state regulations while streamlining daily HR operations. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial in optimizing their HRIS software, Paycom.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process (advertising, online postings, interviews, assessments, offers, new hire paperwork).
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Design and implement a welcoming and informative onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Evaluate candidates for cultural fit, skills, education, and competency.
  • Provide support for employee relations, conflict resolution, and manager guidance.
  • Facilitate performance reviews, offering trainings and tools to managers and employees.
  • Develop and deliver HR training programs.
  • Assist with 403(b) and benefits enrollment administration.
  • Generate HR reports as required.
  • Stay updated on HR compliance, regulations, and best practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and track HR metrics.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR files.
  • Handle additional HR duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related HR role.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Recruitment expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ethical and professional conduct with the ability to manage confidential HR and medical information.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with leadership and provide HR guidance.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus.
