Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary Directs and coordinates all facility activities of the production department in processing materials of the maintenance department in maintaining the company’s equipment and customer service by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Function as a member of the management team.

· Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.

· Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for processing product.

· Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.

· Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

· Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

· Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Generate and distribute all monthly reports concerning production for the management meetings.

· Approve Customer Requirement sheets for new customers and when changes are made to original record.

· Conduct weekly plant meetings with plant personnel.

· Oversee all plant operations including safety, cost control, reducing errors, and training.

· Help formulate and complete safety preventive and corrective actions.

· Enforce and police all safety related policies.

· Conduct regularly scheduled inspections of coils in stock.

· Conduct safety audits.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities Manages direct reports in the Production, Quality, Customer Service and Maintenance Department. In directly supervisors all plant employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
