Under the supervision of the President and/or Area Manager, perform maintenance of the company properties and fleet, including performing routine and emergency manual labor.

PAY RATE: $24.00/hr - $28.00/hr DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs of company equipment, vehicles, and trailers involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in an organized and timely manner using internal fleet software.
  • Inspect shop and storage locations for cleanliness, safety violations, and maintenance
  • Regularly inspect all vehicles for cleanliness, safety violations, and maintenance
  • Operate company vehicles (with approved MVR)
  • Assist in planning and scheduling routine and emergency maintenance of all shop, storage locations, and company vehicles
  • Meet with contractors, service providers, or other outside parties needing access to shop or storage locations as directed by management.
  • Wear PPE as instructed
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Work outdoors for long periods of time in various weather conditions when required
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as directed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years experience repairing/maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Diesel experience preferred
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Personal tools preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background screening and drug test
  • Ability to obtain a TSA TWIC card
  • Ability to follow both written and oral instructions
  • Ability to utilize email and iPad technology
  • Highly motivated
  • Reliable transportation to/from work
  • Good oral and written communication with ability to follow both written and oral instructions
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment, as well as power equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to drive, stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat or kneel, and/or bend. The employee must occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner without supervision.
