Medium / Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift – Fort Worth, TX


Vector Fleet Management, LLC is an American based, privately held company that has been in the fleet maintenance business for over 30 years. Vector Fleet provides dedicated and embedded customized fleet maintenance solutions for clients in numerous states across the U.S.


Vector Fleet Management is currently looking for experienced in shop Diesel Technicians to join our team in support of our customer’s fleet located in Fort Worth TX on the 2nd Shift from 3:00pm-11:30pm Sunday-Thursday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform Preventive Maintenance on various makes of powered equipment in a shop environment.

Perform diagnostic/troubleshooting and selected repairs on equipment using hand & power tools and diagnostic software

Test drive vehicles to verify complaints / completed repairs

Train and/or assist other technicians in all of the above areas

Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment. Including but not limited to cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas

Must possess adequate hand, pneumatic and electric tools required to perform routine repairs and maintenance

Basic knowledge of computer systems including Windows and Microsoft is required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience that includes performing service and repair on vehicles and/or equipment components and systems summarized above.
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus)
  • Current ASE certifications are a plus
  • Experience with Volvo and International Diesel Engines are a plus
