Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure advantageous deals.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and technological advancements through comprehensive market research.
  • Forecasting and Inventory Management: Analyze and forecast procurement needs to ensure a continuous supply, avoiding stockouts and managing inventory levels efficiently.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs to stay within the allocated budget.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes. Track KPIs for procurement activities.
  • Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and price.
  • Manufacturing Orders: Oversee and manage manufacturing orders (MO’s), ensuring timely and accurate execution of production plans. Coordinate with the production team to ensure materials are available for the production schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the electronics industry but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Advanced experience with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Familiarity with contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of supplies and products up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment with standard business hours (8am-5pm).
  • Occasional travel to meet suppliers and attend industry events.
  • Potential for extended hours during peak periods or to meet critical project deadlines.
