Job DescriptionJob Description

Urban Building Group is a Charlotte, NC based Design/Build Firm. We are looking for an Experienced Residential Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager's primary role is to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish to endure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Set-Up: Prepare for preconstruction meetings (reviewing plans, contracts, selections, etc.). Develop construction schedule/calendar for each project. Lead on-site client meetings. Install and maintain clean job sight.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain clean, safe, and secure job sites at all times. Manage subcontractors (scheduling and open communication. Communicate weekly update with office team (updated calendars, pictures, notes). Assist in budget control and issuing purchase orders. Ordering of materials. Creating additional work orders (estimating, budgeting, issuing, payment). Maintain client relations by communicating weekly and being proactive. Self perform carpentry labor, as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Administrative Duties: Collect draws and payments specific to each project. Complete all paperwork necessary for invoicing. Maintain email communications. Issue purchase orders. Basic computer skills.
  • Required Skills and Talents: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Neat and clean appearance (in UBG apparel). Vision for craftsmanship. Negotiating and purchasing experience. Above average carpentry skills. Leadership qualities.
