Boutique Plaintiff's Labor & Employment Litigation Firm on far north side of Tampa is looking to hire a Litigation Associate to join its team. We're located about halfway between Tampa and Clearwater, northwest of downtown Tampa. (We prefer folks who like working 100% "in office" but will consider hybrid remote after 90 days).

Ideally, we're looking for candidates who have some Labor & Employment Law experience in Federal Court. But we're open to consider candidates with Insurance Defense Litigation and other similar experience. We'll also consider 1st year attorneys with impressive resumes OR candidates who have OTHER LITIGATION experience in FL.

As a Plaintiff's firm, we pay a certain negotiable % of ALL cases you handle and settle. This additional compensation really adds up on top of your base salary and incentivizes you to move & resolve our cases. WE DO NOT HAVE A BILLABLE HOUR REQUIREMENT

Duties: Evaluate new client's potential cases for liability and damages, intake, pleadings, motions, issue/answer written discovery, legal research and writing, court appearances (federal court primarily), taking and defending depositions, brief-writing, researching local court's rules and procedures, client communications and correspondence, mediations, trial preparation and occasional trials.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $80,000 to $125,000 BASE
  • X % of collected attorney's fees on ALL cases you settle (lower base salaries = higher % settlement bonuses)
  • Health Insurance (50% paid by the firm)
  • 401k with Profit Share
  • PTO
