What are we looking for?
The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager (EH&S Manager) provides regional support for several TGC locations to assist in recognizing and controlling hazards, creating a positive safety culture, and implementing, maintaining, and overseeing EHS processes to ensure safe working environments and regulatory compliance. Position reports to the Director, EH&S.
What specifically will you be doing?
- Coordinate implementation of EH&S programs, activities, and initiatives with facilities.
- Ensure best practices are shared and standardize across facilities.
- Assists in the development of training content and the delivery of education and training.
- Travel to assigned facilities to evaluate (audit) EH&S practices, metrics, and culture.
- Develop plans to assist plant leadership in closing performance gaps.
- Support and assist facility leadership in the investigation of significant safety incidents.
- Assist with worker’s compensation claims process as necessary.
What do we need from you?
- Five (5) years or more of full-time experience as a dedicated environmental, health and safety practitioner in a manufacturing or similar environment, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or environmental management, strongly preferred.
- Effective functional and organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy are required.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and rules and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of current state EH&S processes, required.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Experience working with Canadian and Mexican safety regulations is preferred.

- Safety and Environmental Professional (SHEP) General Industry
- Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) General Industry
