Position Overview

Are you a meticulous legal expert skilled in extracting vital information from intricate cases? A prominent national plaintiffs' firm focused on mesothelioma is in search of a dedicated Discovery Attorney with a strong background in toxic tort litigation.

If you have a talent for sifting through extensive data and documentation to construct compelling cases against environmental offenders, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Discovery Investigator: Execute comprehensive discovery processes in toxic tort cases, including document review, evidence identification, and management of discovery requests.
  • Evidence Analyst: Collect, evaluate, and organize evidence concerning chemical exposures, contaminated resources, hazardous waste, and other environmental threats.
  • Collaborative Associate: Partner closely with litigation attorneys to formulate and execute discovery strategies that align with overall case goals.
  • Client Liaison: Ensure effective communication with clients, keeping them updated on discovery progress and significant developments.
  • Legal Research Specialist: Perform in-depth legal research to bolster discovery efforts and guarantee adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Attorney: Active license in MO and/or IL.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in discovery, particularly in toxic torts or environmental law is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage extensive volumes of documents and data with precision.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong skills in legal research, evidence evaluation, and case formulation.
  • Effective Communicator: Ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and succinctly to clients and colleagues.
  • Resilient Approach: Capability to navigate challenging cases with patience and thoroughness, maintaining composure under pressure.
