Job Title:
TAR Project Scheduler

Type of Position:
3 to 4 month project initially. It’s possible this role may open doors for future work / projects too.

Job Location:
Freeport, TX

Compensation:
$64.28/hr. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours (and there will be regular overtime, especially in the execution phase).

Job Description / Duties:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major chemical, research, and agriculture organization to place a TAR Project Scheduler for our facility in Freeport, TX.

Responsibilities:
•    Provide Primavera P6 schedule support for midsized to large maintenance outages.
•    Will be required to work independently in carrying out outage projects and scheduling efforts.
•    Active participation in the overall planning process, development of detailed schedules for FEL, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases.
•    Track schedule and earned physical progress, key milestone changes, identify delays, and support reporting to management.
•    Critical Path Analysis.
•    Strong analytical skills that will allow proper assessments of projects to identify potential performance issues.
•    In addition, be able to support development and recommend solutions via communication and support with Project Management.
•    Generate predefined schedule reporting requirements and ad hoc reports on an as-needed basis.
•    Assist in the development and improvement of schedule and planning tools, processes, and procedures.
•    Provide basic training on scheduling to project team members.

Required Skills / Experience:
•    At least 8 years of professional experience.
•    At least 5 years of scheduling/planning experience in chemical, petrochemical, or similar manufacturing/project environment.
•    Ability to work in a diverse team environment.
•    In-depth technical knowledge about overall project planning and detailed scheduling work processes for all aspects of a project including Engineering, Procurement, Construction.
•    Excellent Primavera P6 use and knowledge.
•    Excellent computer skills.
•    Strong quality focus with an attention to detail.
•    Strong analytical skills.
•    Strong communication, initiative, and collaborative skills.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
•    1st (day) shift role. 5 days/week and 10 hours/day during FEL phase. 7 days/week and 12 hours/day during execution phase in August / September.
•    Offer will be contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen (which does include cannabis – no exceptions).
