Advanced Design Solutions is dedicated to excellence in engineering and large production manufacturing across a variety of industries. Our primary expertise is the design and fabrication of material handling containers, racks, bins and dunnage. Advanced Design Solutions is a manufacturer built on the idea that there is value in producing tangible products that offer customers more value than they expect to receive. Our primary focus is on the production of steel racking and assemblies using structural steel components including tubing, channels, angles and flat bar.

Job Title: Project Engineer / Project Manager

Duties:

  • Serve as the point of contact to customers regarding any / all aspects of project definition and execution, including pricing aspects.
  • Review and interpret drawings and customer technical specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, identifying any potential issues or delays.
  • Manage project documentation, including timelines and change orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors and/or customers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Manage production efficiency tracking tools and assist with production planning.
  • Assist in resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during the production build of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Capable of interpreting technical drawings. (Blue Prints)
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding customer specifications.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Instinctively manage customer relationships in a mutually beneficial manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Experience / Education:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, managing projects that include customer interface.
  • BS Degree in Engineering is Preferred
  • Comparable combination of education and /or experience will also be considered.
