Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Patient Intake Coordinator to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle administrative duties such as scanning, email/written communications, phones
  • Perform some scheduling and appointment communications as needed to support reception staff
  • Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
  • Communicate with law firms when necessary for billing and insurance collections
  • Ensuring patient billing and insurance demographics, flags, alerts, and statuses are accurate within EMR system

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • Familiarity with medical billing procedures
  • Familiarity with Michigan personal injury and workers' compensation litigation procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to self-direct and complete projects without individual task delegation from management (after training period, obviously)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
