We offer a full range of benefits and are now looking to hire a Payroll/Compliance Administrator in the Riverside area

General Responsibility:

The Payroll/Compliance Administrator is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Payroll/Compliance support. The role is critical in compiling employee time and payroll data. It also plays an intricate role in Certified Payroll Reporting. Providing great overall customer support by driving Payroll functional excellence and process improvement.

Significant Duties:

  • Assist with processing manual timecards and the distribution of payroll checks on a weekly basis.
  • Cross train and serve as a support for the Time & Attendance review export process.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of Gross/Hours between systems.
  • Calculate Piece hours, tax withholdings, deductions, regular rate of pay, final check payments, etc.
  • Verify timekeeping records and consult with supervisor/employees about discrepancies.
  • Prints checks and administer ACH transactions for California entities
  • Creates weekly reports pertaining to payroll and labor management
  • Back up for processing incoming verification of employment request
  • Assist in manning the payroll inbox
  • Process Off Cycle Payrolls for correction checks, final checks and other payments as required.
  • Responsible for responding to subpoena request
  • Verify New Hire Status Update Forms – Dual Verification.
  • Process VOEs, W4s, Direct Deposit Changes
  • Research and respond to a wide range of inquiries related to payroll and time & attendance and compliance.
  • Responsible for fulfilling Compliance Audit requests from builders, the DIR and compliance agencies.
  • Responsible for Certified Payroll Reporting for five (5) + jobs.
  • Compliance Contracts review and form completion.
  • Review checklist for job set ups and provide sign off confirming of dual review
  • Back up to Compliance Manager with processing Monthly Union Reports for Apprentices
  • Updating of Prevailing Wage Compliance Log with current job updates
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external contacts.
  • Performs all duties with a high degree of accuracy
  • Responsible for overseeing sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Believes in and champions 20/20’s core values and inspires others to do the same.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Associate degree (AA) from a two-year college, technical school, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years Construction payroll experience preferred
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of Prevailing Wage Construction Payroll experience required.
  • Knowledge of Section 3 and Apprentice Ration Requirements preferred.
  • Certified Payroll / Union Reporting experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving.
  • Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal law as it relates to payroll.
  • Knowledge of Sage and NOVAtime electronic timekeeping system preferred.
  • Ability to organize tasks according to departmental priorities.
  • Successfully work in a fast-paced environment at times with frequent interruptions.
  • Prioritize and complete multiple activities within established periods, and ask questions or seek clarification when unclear about expectations
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and follows direction of supervisors, but also able to work without constant direct supervision
  • Maintain a tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
  • Display superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex content and documents

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to sit long periods, stand, walk, and climb stairs.  Lift or move up to 15 pounds.  Use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms.
