Tiburon law firm looking for full time legal secretary. 1-2 years law firm experience preferred. 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly: $20-$25/hr DOE
  • Healthcare: Firm pays portion of employee's monthly premium with excess to be paid by employee. No cash equivalent for non-participants;
  • Paid Sick Leave, Vacation
  • Paid Parking; conveniently close to office
  • Full-Time, in office, 40 hours/week M-F approx. 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Primary Job Duties:

  • greeting visitors; 
  • preparing conference room;
  • cleaning supply room; monitoring/ordering supplies;
  • billing and accounts receivable;
  • answering phones;
  • accepting and sorting incoming mail; scanning mail; distributing mail; preparing and posting outgoing mail;
  • basic calendaring;
  • opening / closing case files;
  • preparing PowerPoints / documents for attorney speaking engagements/court appearances;
  • making copies; electronic and hard-copy document compilation;
  • coordinating meetings / depos between multiple parties;
  • preparing documents / proofing documents;
  • review and summarize large documents such as medical records or depositions;
  • organizing office; dismantling case documents for recycling/shredding.

Willingness to Learn:

  • file and serve case-related documents;
  • order subpoenas;
  • civil litigation calendaring;
  • legal research;
  • projects relating to business entities

Skillset:

  • ability to multi-task;
  • proficiency using computer programs to perform daily tasks including Microsoft, adobe, excel, timeslips, QuickBooks, legal calendar system;
  • accountable, honest, hard-working, self-starting
