The Opportunity

As a Member Support Specialist, you'll be an ambassador for patients in our offices, leveraging your exceptional human connection skills and strong drive for service to create a truly exceptional in-office experience.

You'll remove barriers to care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible experience. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the look and feel of our office lobbies, ensuring they align with our brand standards.

You'll be the first point of contact for patient feedback and provide support as requested by our Leads, Office Manager, or in-office providers.

You'll be a strong team player, using your innovative problem-solving skills to tackle various tasks and challenges. You'll possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to identify opportunities, and deliver customer-centric solutions with empathy, focus, and compassion.

You'll bring self-awareness to your daily work, utilizing your strengths and developing areas of opportunity. You'll thrive in cultures that focus on feedback and growth, and be nimble in your approach to respond to the needs of patients and teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Use impeccable C-I-CARE (a framework containing the key elements of a great interaction and effective communication) in all patient interactions, ensuring a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary.
  2. Perform all front-of-house duties, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, and tasking to service level expectations.
  3. Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, supporting in-office providers with ad-hoc asks, and more.
  4. Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, 1Life, to interact with team members and patients and complete daily work.
  5. Perform opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep, including maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organization.
Requirements
  1. At least 1 year of experience in high-touch customer or patient-facing roles.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams.
  4. A proven track record of persisting through change, demonstrating a forward-thinking perspective when under pressure, and consistently stepping up to take action on challenges.
  5. Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Competitive Salary

We offer a competitive salary starting at $24/hour, with a 1.25x differential for extended hours.

This is a full-time role based in-person with our team and patients at the Mission Bay office in San Francisco. The base hourly rate for this role is $24.00 per hour, based on a standard full-time schedule, with a 1.25 differential for eligible extended hours. Must be able to work at least one weekend day every week, any shift between 7:30am and 9pm. Regular days off are typically Thursday and Friday.
