Water Mitigation Tech/Assistant to Project Estimator
As a Water Mitigation Technician/Assistant to Project Estimator, you will be responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, assessing the extent of damage, implementing mitigation procedures, and restoring affected properties to their pre-loss condition. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail to effectively mitigate water damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to water damage emergencies, including floods, leaks, and sewage backups, and assess the situation to determine the appropriate mitigation procedures.
Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of water-damaged properties to determine the extent of damage and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
Mitigation Procedures: Implement mitigation procedures to prevent further damage, including water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and disinfection, using specialized equipment and techniques.
Documentation: Document all observations, assessments, and mitigation procedures performed on-site, including photographs, moisture readings, and written reports, for insurance and customer records.
As an Assistant to the Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project estimation team in accurately forecasting the costs and resources required for various projects. Your primary responsibilities will involve gathering and organizing project data, assisting in cost analysis, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient project estimation processes.
1. **Data Collection and Analysis:**
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary project information, including scope, specifications, and materials required.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining project data, including historical cost data, supplier quotes, and industry benchmarks.
- Conduct research to gather relevant market data and trends affecting project costs.
2. **Cost Estimation Support:**
- Work closely with the Project Estimator to prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses. -Assist in developing cost models and spreadsheets to streamline estimation processes.
- Review and verify cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to project estimates, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and risk assessments.
- Generate reports and presentations summarizing project estimation findings for internal review and client presentations.
- Update project tracking systems and databases with relevant cost estimation data.
4. **Administrative Support:**
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and communications for the Project Estimator.
- Assist in managing correspondence, inquiries, and documentation related to project estimation activities.
- Provide general administrative support, such as filing, copying, and organizing documents.
