Job DescriptionJob Description

Our client, a leading civil engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their land development team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and planning of various site development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct site assessments, feasibility analyses, and due diligence to evaluate the suitability and potential of land for development

· Collaborate with architects, planners, developers, and regulatory agencies to understand project requirements and objectives

· Design the civil infrastructure components of land development projects, such as roads, utilities, drainage systems, and grading

· Prepare detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using CAD software and engineering calculations

· Evaluate environmental impacts, risks, and costs, and propose optimal solutions that balance technical, economic, and social considerations

· Oversee and coordinate the construction phase, ensuring design specifications are followed and quality standards are met

· Provide maintenance and management services for completed land development projects

 

Education and Experience:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

· Experience: 5+ years of experience in land development or site engineering

· Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

· 5+ years of experience in land development or site engineering

· Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred

· Proficiency in CAD software, GIS, and engineering analysis tools

· Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

· Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and permitting processes

· Experience working on a variety of land development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use
