**We are located in Savannah, GA**

Multi Stone is currently searching for a Purchasing/Materials Manager at our manufacturing facility in Savannah GA. This is a very hands-on position that will be a key player in ensuring Multi Stone operates efficiently and consistently meets customer demand. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting company goals and expectations in purchasing while staying within your department’s budget. Your job duties include negotiating fair contracts, and checking that shipments are delivered on time and are complete. Developing an inventory management strategy is crucial to ensuring a consistent supply of products for the company. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of procurement experience.

Purchasing / Materials Manager Responsibilities

  • Directing and controlling the activities for supplies and slabs required for production,
  • The movement and storage of slabs and WIP (internal and external locations)
  • Will create and implement external supplier and commodity procurement strategy that will drive improvements in cost and delivery including defining potential capital savings, payment term strategies as well as the task of developing supplier selection for materials and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory to determine what products are needed
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Check deliveries for accuracy

Purchasing / Materials Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, finance, or a related field
  • CPPO, Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified Contract Negotiator, CPPB, or other advanced certification in procurement or contract administration preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in the procurement of materials and supplies
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Proficient with vendor management software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
