Sr. Accountant Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various business functions, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Schedule: M-F/ 7am-4pm

Requirements

•Prepares job cost journal entries and other ad hoc general ledger entries.

•Reconciles general ledger accounts with various sub-ledgers.

•Prepares fixed asset and lease accounting monthly journal entries. Ensures documentation for new and / or dispositions of fixed assets and leases is maintained.

•Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions as needed.

•Performs standard and ad hoc analyses as needed to assist operations with problem solving and decision-making processes

•Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

•Assists with the annual financial audit process

•Implements and/or improves policies and procedures

•Utilizes advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables, to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.

•Maintain a high level of professionalism and clear communication while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.

•Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

•CPA designation preferred, not required.

•Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, and cost accounting.

•Background in public accounting or auditing is preferred.

•Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
