Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or distribution center. This role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency in handling materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Operation:

    • Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the facility.
    • Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and shelves.

  • Material Handling:

    • Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of materials according to company standards.
    • Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.

  • Inventory Management:

    • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movements.
    • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials, if applicable.

  • Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.

  • General Support:

    • Assist with other warehouse duties, such as packing, labeling, and shipping, as needed.
    • Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a forklift operator preferred.
  • Certification: Valid forklift operator certification required.
  • Skills: Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently; basic math and inventory skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various conditions.

Kelly stocks standard and line pipe in a broad assortment of sizes, weights and grades both black and galvanized, both seamless and electric welded. Its product line also includes a significant portion of OCTG and special order items such as plastic pipe, cement coated and lined pipe, stainless steel products, valves, and fittings. The Company performs a variety of value-added fabrication services ranging from cutting, grooving, threading, lining and coating, fabrication, and welding.
