Concrete Superintendent

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Heavy Civil or Concrete Superintendent to lead the refurbishment of a canal under the Heavy Civil Project in El Paso, TX. This is a 3-year project with a budget of $90 million, requiring a strong leader who can oversee all aspects of concrete work and ensure the project is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all concrete-related activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring efficient work progression and adherence to safety protocols.
Plan, schedule, and direct daily operations, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and efficient use of resources.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, making necessary adjustments to stay on track.
Ensure the quality of concrete pours, including formwork, reinforcement, placement, and finishing.
Maintain strong communication with the project management team, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel.
Manage long work hours during peak construction season, typically 70-hour weeks, with overtime pay after 50 hours.
Qualifications:
Minimum of [10] years of experience as a Heavy Civil or Concrete Superintendent in large-scale construction projects.
Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work long hours and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as required.
