About the Role:
We seek a dynamic Solar Sales Manager with over 8 years of experience in the solar installation business, specifically in residential, commercial, and community needs, to lead our sales efforts in the Midwest and Nationwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Support in leading, motivating, and mentoring a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Utilize knowledge of the total addressable market (TAM), serviceable addressable market (SAM), and serviceable obtainable market (SOM) to contribute to strategic sales plans and target key market segments effectively.
  • Assist in analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of pricing strategies, promotional activities, and product positioning based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Support in generating and pursuing new leads, utilizing various sources and trade publications.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to penetrate and grow the customer base within targeted territories, in alignment with the companys ambition statements and its strategic objectives.
  • Support in achieving the companys strategic objectives related to sales volume, revenue, gross margin, and territory management.
  • Assist in establishing product bankability to aid clients with financing.
  • Contribute to managing aging inventory and meeting sales price requirements.
  • Support in negotiating commercial terms on supply contracts and enhancing product adoption over time.
  • Assist in utilizing data-driven approaches to assess sales performance, track market share, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support in implementing best practices in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales cycle optimization to drive efficiency and maximize revenue.
  • Assist in leveraging CRM tools and sales analytics to monitor sales metrics, KPIs, and ROI, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the sales team, encouraging experimentation and adaptation to evolving market conditions.
  • Assist in leading marketing activities to align sales strategies with product roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, providing support and insights to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Contribute to managing customer relationships and developing business opportunities, driving sales and cementing the companys market share.
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and prospects, ensuring our solutions meet their needs.
  • Support in managing the entire sales cycle of PV products across sectors.
  • Contribute to providing sales forecasts and opportunities.
  • Assist in gathering and sharing competitive and market data to aid strategic planning.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conferences to support securing new sales opportunities.
  • Be willing to travel up to 50% within the sales territory as required, supporting the team in various territories.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience, out of which, 5+ years in the renewable energy industry.
  • Experience in sales support in solar photovoltaic, energy storage, or related industries is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Sales Force or similar sales tools.
  • Proven experience in finding and selling to new prospects, negotiating deals, and managing commercial terms.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Native English Speaker.
  • Personality: Self-motivated, Excellent leadership, management, and teamwork skills, proactive, with a strong work ethic and competitive drive.
