Pride Health is hiring Certified SPTs to support our client’s medical facility based in Houston, TX. This is a Contract, 13 Weeks opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Job Title: Certified Sterile Process Technician

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Contract, 13 Weeks

Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:30 pm-11:00 pm

Guaranteed hours: 40 hours

Pay Range: $21 - $25/hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU’s and best practices.
  • Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
  • Performs physical and environmental duties as designated on a routine daily basis, including but not limited to cleaning workspace/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmental monitors.
  • Completes sterilization processes and performs high level disinfection.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Highschool diploma or GED
  • Certification: CRCST or CSPDT
  • 4 years' experience in a hospital setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the Hospital.
  • Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment, to prioritize and organize, and to work independently with consistent supervision
