AIMM-American Infrastructure Maintenance Management currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations, performing a variety of tasks related to asset maintenance activities.

 

Routine Maintenance Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Bridge Maintenance and Repair
  • Asphalt Repair
  • Sodding
  • Concrete Repair
  • Delineators Replacement and Installation
  • Signs Repairs and Installation
  • Fence Repair
  • Graffiti Removal
  • Traffic Control Services
  • Emergency Response
  • Miscellaneous Routine Maintenance

Responsibilities:

  • Operates tools, small equipment, and performs day-to-day activities of Field Crews as directed.
  • Plans and Directs day-to-day activities of Field Crews.
  • Oversees operation and ensures proper maintenance and repairs of all equipment supplied, per AIMM Standards.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of any equipment, materials, stockpiles, etc.
  • Complete Daily Work Report, Timesheet, and any other report required by AIMM and our clients in the format acceptable to AIMM and our clients. Reports will be turned in at the end of each workday.
  • Operate equipment and perform day- to-day maintenance activities.
  • Follow AIMM’s Safety Protocols and wear the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) provided by AIMM, at ALL times, including your disposable mask/face covering when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as when riding in the company vehicle, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. AIMM provides its employees with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), at the company's expense, except for Steel-Toe Boots, which MUST be worn at all times, regardless of the presence of a hazard and meet OSHA requirements; must have leather upper, must have oil resistant and non-skid soles, and must comply with ASTM 2413-05 with an impact resistance rating of 75 and a compression resistance rating of 75.
  • Completing any training courses successfully within the established time frame.

  • Follows all safety protocols, work outdoors, stand and walk for long periods of times, lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs, bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, sit, squad, reach overhead, stand, twist, and walk.

Highway Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities including the use of tools and operation of equipment, utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed by your supervisor, crew leader, or designee.
  • Ability to work outdoors, stand and walk for long periods of times, lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs, bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, sit, squad, reach overhead, stand, twist, and walk.
  • Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation, while being responsible and committed to come to work on a daily basis.
  • Ability to drive company trucks. (No CDL license required, but preferred)
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
  • Ability to complete a Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate course.

Hiring Requirements:

AIMM is a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace. Candidates will be required to controlled substance/drug testing.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to provide valid proof of Personal Auto Insurance Policy and be listed as an authorized driver.
  • Must be able to meet the following driver guidelines:
    • For drivers 25 years and older: No more than four moving violations or one accident and one violation within the last three years.
    • For drivers 23 or 24 years old: No more than two moving violations within the last three years.
    • No driver may have any major convictions within the last five-year period.
    • For any vehicles requiring a Commercial Driver's License: Drivers must have a minimum of one year with appropriate CDL and experience driving similar vehicles to those scheduled. For drivers who have between one and two years of experience, please submit to the underwriter for review.

Benefits Package - Eligible after 60 days of Employment

  • AIMM employees will be eligible for up to 40 hours of paid time off (PTO) after your first year of employment anniversary and every employment anniversary date thereafter.

  • AIMM will cover 100% Group Life Insurance Policy of $20,000 for employees.
  • AIMM employees can also purchase a vision plan and additional financial protection with an Accident, Hospital, Short-term Disability or Critical Illness insurance policy through Sun Life and have the option to add on spouses and dependents, at the employee’s out-of-pocket expense.
