Job DescriptionJob Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products and services. This role involves managing resources, developing operational plant strategies, and ensuring that the company meets its goals in terms of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Planning and Strategy

· Develop and implement operational plant strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve company goals.

· Collaborate with senior management to establish and execute long-term operational objectives.

· Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership

· Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team to achieve high levels of performance and morale.

· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team skills and competencies.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the tea

Safety and Risk Management

· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry safety standards.

· Identify and mitigate operational risks, including those related to safety and quality.

· Develop and implement contingency plans to manage operational risks.

Resource Management

· Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.

· Oversee inventory management and maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize costs.

· Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all operational activities.

 

Process Improvement

· Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.

· Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining operations and improving workflow.

· Ensure that all processes are documented and that best practices are shared across the organization.

· Address customer complaints and issues promptly, working with relevant departments to resolve them.

· Monitor customer feedback and use it to inform operational improvements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing.

  Experience with Building Materials

· Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and projects.

Skills and Competencies

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

· Skilled background in shop floor management systems.

· Experience in with LEAN manufacturing systems.

· Proficient in using operations management software and tools.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.

 

Working Conditions

· This position typically requires working in an office environment, with occasional visits to operational sites or production facilities.

· May require occasional travel to company locations or vendor sites.

Physical Requirements

· The role may involve occasional lifting of materials or equipment and standing for long periods during site visits.
