Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher for our infant/toddler room. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of the developmental needs of toddlers. This role involves creating a positive and enriching classroom environment that supports the growth and development of each child while partnering with families to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that stimulate toddlers’ physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Child Engagement: Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where toddlers feel safe and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Behavioral Support: Manage and guide behavior in a positive, constructive manner, promoting social skills, empathy, and respect among the children.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Supervise children at all times and respond promptly to any emergencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of each child's development, behavior, and milestones, and use this information to tailor educational approaches to individual needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: CDE 12 Units 
  • Experience: Prior experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of early childhood development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Personal Attributes: Patient, nurturing, and energetic with a genuine passion for working with young children.
