This position manages all aspects of insurance and AR follow-up while adhering to HIPAA compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 3-years previous experience in medical billing or collections

· Previous experience in accounts receivable

· Knowledge of payer contracting preferred

· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

· Working knowledge of month end reporting processes

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Ability to prioritize competing demands and multitask required

· Professional attitude and teamwork mentality

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Complete follow-up on all outstanding claims monthly

· Submission of appeals and denial follow up for prompt reimbursement

· Utilize clearinghouse functions to ensure clean claim submission

· Responsible for updating contracts by billing system yearly, as applicable

· Submission of end of month reports for financial period closing

· Prepare agenda for monthly client conference call

· Identify and communicate trends directly to client

· Conduct weekly meetings with internal team
