Job DescriptionJob Description

Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports. Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Instructs or assigns work to bookkeepers and accounting clerks engaged in general accounting activities. Responsible for accounts payable as required.


  • Performs daily ACH processing, verifying that ACH credit entries have been posted to the customer accounts, all exceptions have been posted, the daily worksheet is in balance, and returns have been completed in compliance with ACH rules and regulations.
  • Performs daily bill payment program processing, including exceptions and returns.
  • Responsible for Third party program balancing and balancing the general ledger.
  • Assists supervisor with preparation of monthly IRA/backup withholding tax reports, assigned quarterly reports and end-of-month activities.
  • Handles all accounts payable functions, including dealing with vendors, writing checks, and resolving disputes.
  • Maintains and posts fixed assets and prepaid reports.
  • Balances corporate cards on a weekly basis and provides reconciliation to all cardholders.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Previous accounting experience preferred.
  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
