Job Description: We are seeking a Global Network Operations Tier II Technician to join a Professional NOC (ProNOC) team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring reliable customer services by working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor internal and external networks across a multi-vendor environment.
- Conduct initial triage and diagnosis on faults, escalating issues as necessary.
- Prioritize faults to meet SLAs and manage external contractors.
- Provide regular updates on fault progress to stakeholders and customers.
- Perform fault isolation and repair on DWDM, SDH, Dark Fiber, IP, and Ethernet circuits.
- Manage fault receipt, identification, logging, dispatch, and resolution.
- Ensure service availability and meet Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) targets.
- Support the Shift Lead as required.
- Monitor and manage facilities and key sites.
- Coordinate access for suppliers with support team members.
- Provide key metrics and reports to senior Operations stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of NOC experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Experience with DWDM, Fiber & Optical equipment, and in a multi-vendor environment (Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, ADVA, Alcatel, Nokia, Infinera).
- Knowledge of OSP practices, OTDR analysis, and fiber repairs.
- Troubleshooting Layer 2/3 issues on DWDM / SDH and Ethernet networks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage suppliers or partners.
- Comfortable working 24/7 shift patterns, including holidays and nights.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is desirable.
- Proactive mindset to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Schedule:
- Day shift from 7:00 AM CDT to 7:00 PM CDT on a 4/3 split with 12-hour shifts (e.g., Sunday to Wednesday one week, Sunday to Tuesday the next week).
Location:
- Hybrid work option available (2 days/week in office) in Denver, CO & Tulsa, OK. Fully remote work is possible for the right candidate.
