Job Title: Network Engineer II

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer II to join our team in providing best-in-class security, infrastructure, and technology managed services in the Denver area.

The Network Engineer II will assist with updating and replacing end-of-life gear for Cisco devices across multiple sites throughout the U.S. Consulting on additional projects during surge periods as necessary, the Network Engineer is a key player on our team and is responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and administering Cisco network routers and switches
  • Documenting, scheduling, and coordinating resources for remote sites during implementation
  • Actively tracking, documenting request, and incident information in appropriate IT Service Management tool
  • Installing and configuring network equipment
  • Administering routers and switches
  • Troubleshooting fiber, wireless, switching, and routing connections
  • Project engineering work required

Salary: 130,000 DOE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Cisco network environment
  • CCNA certification
  • Experience with Catalyst Manager
  • Experience with provisioning switches for lifecycle replacement
  • Experience with enterprise level change management protocols
  • Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
  • Expert level communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Hands-on troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work with little supervision to execute highly technical and complex tasks

Desired Qualifications:

  • Juniper engineering experience for surge project support
