SUMMARY: Our client is actively seeking a hands-on Quality Control Lead to join our Danbury, CT team.

 

This position will be responsible to lead the execution of key elements of site Quality Assurance operational plans. You will lead a team of QC professionals, set tactical and operational plans for the achievement of Quality Compliance goals, and drive change to ensure continuous quality improvement. You will also ensure compliance with respect to AS9100 and AS13100 certifications.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Some of their typical duties and responsibilities include:

 

• Develops the strategic direction, mission and vision for the Quality organization that supports overall organizational strategic direction, mission, and vision.

• Maintain the quality management system, lead management review meetings, audit the quality manual in compliance with AS9100 requirements and in partnership with external auditors. Develop, improve, and maintain existing QA programs, including but not limited to customer satisfaction, in process and final inspection, finished product specification, environmental testing, visual product standards, and vendor certification.

• Understanding of root cause analysis tools, such as FMEA, 5 whys, etc.

• Foster a team environment of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning.

• Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing in providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met, and making recommendations for quality improvement

• Manages and maintains department budget requirements

• Primary participant of site compliance (FAI creation, AS9100, NADCAP, AS13100) and customer Audits Basic

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of manufacturing, or relevant experience
  • Mechanical engineering background a plus
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, AS13100 certification processes
  • US citizenship is required for technical data access compliance
