KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support for the human resource functions of the company, including payroll, record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, and general administrative duties. This role assists in administering employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. Assists with the execution of company programs and initiatives involving internal and external branding. Performs other duties as requested.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs.
  • Assist in administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Assist with processing terminations.
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and employment laws.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview processes; track candidate status in HRIS and follow up at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Maintain compliance with current applicable local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll and other benefit systems, including employees’ hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, and address changes.
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Maintain the 401K vendor system and provide timely processing of employee deferrals.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Record and process multi-state payroll and benefit-related filings, as necessary.
  • Implement employee on-boarding and off-boarding procedures.
  • Process necessary documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Perform customer service functions by addressing employee requests and questions.
  • Prepare new-employee files, assist with orientation, and ensure proper enrollment of new hires.
  • Perform other requests and duties as assigned by management.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources principles and processes
  • Strong skill in organization and ability to prioritize
  • Skill in problem solving, critical thinking and decision making/analysis
  • Skill with verbal and written communication
  • Skill with social media utilization, posting, and tracking
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, coworkers, management, and others
  • Ability to be polite, considerate, and an effective communicator in stressful situations
  • Ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and multitask in stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize while utilizing problem solving skills when dealing with unforeseen circumstances
  • Ability to maintain records, review systems and data for accuracy, calendar, and track matters
  • Ability to research and analyze information to make recommendations
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitude
