Job Description:

As the Onsite Hospitality + Design Manager at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), you will collaborate closely with various teams on the conceptualization and execution of all aspects of design and hospitality logistics. Your primary responsibility is to create world-class hospitality experiences for guests across a range of motorsport and entertainment events, including those of the likes of Formula 1 and MotoGP.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape and elevate the guest experience at COTA’s premier events, blending creativity with meticulous planning to deliver unforgettable moments for clients and guests alike. Requirements:

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure COTA event spaces meet and exceeds client expectations
  • Coordination with Major Race Operations on design of temporary builds
  • Coordination with Facilities Team on property-wide improvements
  • Layout and design assistance with Event Managers
  • Miscellaneous design projects for COTA or clients as needed
  • Manage budget for COTA produced hospitality spaces
  • Work with internal team on placement of COTA-owned assets versus rental assets
  • Peppermint Parkway Design
  • Work with Event Logistics Manager on placement of assets, temporary builds, and design elements
  • Premium Hospitality Lead
  • Coordination of all pre-event design and hospitality logistics for:
  • MotoGP, NASCAR & Formula 1
  • Management of Hospitality staffing for major events with Guest Services Manager
  • Serve as main point of contact for hospitality contractors & design contractors; implement systems/processes to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Work with private hospitality clients to organize experiences, events and services
  • Assist with client gifting program with Merchandise Manager


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in event design and/or hospitality operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed for event schedules and extended hours during events (18-20 hours per day) in any weather elements.
  • On-site

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Exemplify strong organizational skill with ability to problem solve and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a service-oriented mindset and great attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
