Shift: 2pm-12am
As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for keeping our truck and trailer fleet safe, operational, and up to DOT regulations. We are currently seeking someone who is confident, has a willingness to learn, can effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and can provide excellent problem-solving skills and timely preventative maintenance on our complete fleet of service trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Complete all seasonal and monthly preventative maintenance, including:
- Regular greases & oil changes
- Regular maintenance of fluid levels
- Inspection of U-joints, bearings, and PTO shafts.
- Inspection of air and exhaust systems.
- Inspection of tires, including brake functionality.
- Inspection of suspension system.
- Light electrical repairs as needed.
- Steering & fuel system maintenance.
- Perform light duty maintenance work on trucks and trailers as needed.
- Drive trucks to our satellite branches for routine service and repairs as required.
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and other serviced vehicles.
- Repair hoses and wands.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain shop tools and equipment.
- Maintaining clean work environment.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- Assist mechanic as necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in Preventative Maintenance or other mechanical work
- Mechanic courses and general truck knowledge is a plus
- Insurable driving record
- Possesses basic set of tools
- Basic computer skills
- Organizational and Multitasking skills
- Plumbing experience is a plus
