The Animal Care Technician Supervisor requires someone who is highly organized. has great attention to detail and possesses wonderful customer service skills. Some specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Train, hire and supervise kennel staff
- Assign tasks from Daily cleaning list
- Routinely check on cleanliness of pets, run/cages, kennel area and play yards
- Alert vet techs to changes in animal's appearance and/or behavior
- Help with repairs/maintenance of kennel area and equipment as needed.
- May be required to operate shelter vehicles for off-site purposes
- Responsible for daily feeding, watering and care of all animals in the shelter
The Animal Care Technician Supervisor reports to the Executive Director. This position is full time and requires working a 40-hour week in a Shelter kennel environment with all levels of temperaments. Must be able to handle reactive dogs and cats with behavioral issues. We are no-kill facility and are looking for someone to put the animals needs first Must be someone who can follow direction as well as give direction to staff. Previous management of a team is required as well as experience handling animals in an animal hospital, shelter or related animal facility.
High School diploma or equivalent required/Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record
