Position Overview

Salary Range: $140,000 - $205,000

Emergency veterinarians face numerous challenges, including fatigue, stress from high caseloads, and the need for constant focus on both hospitalized and incoming patients. At Animal ER Care, we are dedicated to transforming the experience of emergency veterinary medicine into a fulfilling and sustainable career.

We actively monitor caseload patterns to promote a healthy work-life balance for our team. Our veterinarians benefit from a robust support system, including specialized technicians for ICU and treatment areas, as well as a dedicated triage technician focused on managing incoming cases and facilitating client communication.

About Us: We are a female-owned, multi-location emergency veterinary practice located in Colorado. Our primary facility is a VECCS II Certified 24/7 emergency center, part of a larger specialty hospital. To accommodate the increasing demand in our community, we have recently expanded to a second location, both of which are AAHA-accredited.

At Animal ER Care, we are committed to delivering exceptional emergency and critical care services for companion animals. Our fast-paced environment is balanced with compassion, integrity, and kindness. We are looking for additional Associate Veterinarians to join our team and manage our growing caseload. Ideal candidates will have completed an internship, be team-oriented, and possess a passion for emergency medicine. We are open to considering outstanding candidates who may not have completed an internship.

Position Details:

  • Full-time positions available, with consideration for part-time candidates.
  • Successful candidates should be prepared to work an average of 12-14 shifts per month.
  • We strive to accommodate reasonable scheduling requests, including time off for travel.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD)
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid State Veterinary Board license prior to starting.

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary plus production incentives, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions, a generous continuing education allowance, uniform allowance, professional dues coverage, employee pet discounts, and a balanced work schedule to enjoy the lifestyle that Colorado offers. Additionally, we provide a 4-week Sabbatical after every 36 consecutive months of service, along with annual vacation accrual to ensure our associates have the opportunity to recharge and refresh.
