Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Clearwater, Florida.  This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization  
 
Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct direct patient care activities, including accurately obtaining and recording vital signs, administering injections, performing phlebotomy, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
  • Enter and update patient data into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system (eCW) with precision, ensuring all information is current and accessible for clinical use.
  • Obtain and document detailed patient histories, including medical, social, and medication information, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide proactive support to clinicians by performing tasks within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice, including preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers.
  • Manage the medication refill process by promptly queuing and processing requests, ensuring timely approval and patient access to necessary medications.

Qualifications: 

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience

Additional Information:  

  • Location:  Clearwater, Florida
  • Job Type: contract to hire.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
  • Pay Range: $ 17.00 to 23.00/hour.  

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
