Overview:
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Installation Analyst II to join our team in supporting the Tactical Systems Integration (TSI) Testbed Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Operations, Test Support, Maintenance & Field Engineering, and Network Systems IT Operations Support Services at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific). The Installation Analyst II will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation and integration of hardware and software products across various platforms, including ships, to support mission-critical operations and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, integration, setup, and configuration of DoD, Military, and commercial representative (Hybrid) systems/equipment and Advanced Tactical Data Link (ATDL) Terminals such as Link-16 and TTNT.
- Provide analytical support to ensure efficient and effective installation processes on afloat, shore, and submarine platforms within a Distributed Joint Lab environment.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive installation policy, process, standards, and training documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across all installation activities.
- Develop and provide detailed installation process execution requirements and software specifications to support tool development and enhance installation efficiency.
- Apply and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and policies affecting the installation of Programs of Record (POR) and non-POR systems, including but not limited to: (1) Navy Installation Process Handbooks, (2) NAVSEA Technical Specifications, (3) OPNAV Instructions, & (4) Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
- Perform In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) duties on Shipboard C4ISR equipment, ensuring systems are operational and meet all performance standards.
- Execute Field Changes, Ship Alterations, and Ordnance Alterations as required to maintain and upgrade system capabilities.
- Operate and maintain various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers, to validate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Review and interpret Interface Control Documents (ICD) to perform hands-on fabrication, integration, and repair of data and power cables, ensuring compliance with system standards and interface specifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience supporting the installation of hardware and software products.
- Minimum of 5 years (within the past 7 years) of demonstrated technical experience supporting engineering, integration, installation, maintenance, and sustainment of Tactical Data Links, C4I Programs of Record (PoR), and Shipboard systems in a Distributed Joint Lab environment.
- Proven experience in performing installation, integration, setup, and configuration of DoD, Military, and commercial representative systems/equipment and ATDL Terminals (e.g., Link-16, TTNT).
- Experience performing In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) duties on Shipboard C4ISR equipment.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience executing Field Changes, Ship Alterations, and Ordnance Alterations.
- Skilled in reviewing and interpreting Interface Control Documents (ICD) and executing technical applications including fabrication, integration, and repair of data and power cables to meet system standards and interface specifications.
- Experience working with relevant regulatory and policy frameworks governing system installations and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Distributed Joint Lab environment.
- Familiarity with advanced shipboard emulation system components and network service peripherals.
- Certifications related to system installation, engineering, or project management are a plus.
