Job Summary: The Senior Level Hydraulic Service Technician at Hawkins-Graves, Inc. will be responsible for diagnosing, estimating, and repairing hydraulic pumps, motors, and hammers. This role demands advanced technical expertise, exceptional diagnostic skills, and the ability to perform precise repairs. The technician will ensure all work is performed to the highest standards, supporting our mission to always exceed the expectations of those with whom we do business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing: Accurately diagnose issues with hydraulic pumps, motors, and hammers using diagnostic tools and equipment, ensuring all actions align with our commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Estimating: Provide detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labor, and time required, demonstrating high standards of honesty, accountability, and professionalism.
- Repairing: Perform complex repairs and maintenance on hydraulic systems, including disassembly, inspection, replacement of parts, reassembly, and testing, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Testing: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure functionality and reliability, striving for excellence in every task.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed, ensuring clear and open communication.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings, repair processes, and estimates, providing an enjoyable and stress-free customer experience.

Primary Work Environment:
- The primary work environment is a climate-controlled clean room, ensuring a comfortable and safe setting for precise repair work.
- Time will be spent in other service areas as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in hydraulic system diagnostics and repair, specifically with hydraulic pumps, motors, and hammers.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Attention to detail and precision in repair work.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
